An important aspect of my Leadership is a mechanism that informs my Team Development skills and also my own development as a Leader

The Team Development Flight Framework

A Proprietary, unpublished Framework by Sonal Srivastava, crafted to Inform and Deploy Team Development mechanisms

Thrust

Thrust: aka Skills help a professional forge ahead.

Behavior: Engaging in continuous learning and skill development is crucial for personal and professional growth.

Mindset: A growth mindset is essential here; believing that abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. This belief encourages perseverance and resilience when faced with challenges.

A leader must keep the team motivated to constantly learn and improve by encouraging DOSE activities. Often the effects of certain limiting beliefs,  dont allow for building the resilience muscle. This muscle along with self reflection, is needed to push through hard lessons and failures.

Lift

Lift: aka Happy Hormones = DOSE (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin & Endorphins)

Behavior: Mental and physical wellness, team camaraderie, rewards, laughter, mindfulness, and compliments, are some behaviors that positively influence ones hormonal balance. This ‘DOSE’ literally lifts a professionals when their weaker traits pull them down.

Mindset: Maintaining a positive outlook in life and focus on achieving goals can enhance ones well-being,  which in turn can support a healthier hormonal balance.

A leader must champion DOSE activities like team bonding, that allows for smooth work flows and positive professional relationships. DOSE induced wellness also elevates ones Self-Reflection and Self-Acceptance mechanisms. Rewards along with Wellness are catalysts in the reframing process of a professional. Tinkering with DOSE activities is low on effort, and is a trump card that can be used by a leader when all other mechanisms are sluggish or nascent.

Gravity

Gravity: aka Traits (Behavior – Self-Reflection; Mindset – Self-Acceptance)

Behavior: Practicing self-reflection allows a professional to understand their inherent traits, recognizing both their strengths and areas for improvement.

Mindset: Embracing self-acceptance, acknowledging that while we all have limitations, these traits do not define our potential for growth and success.

As a leader recognizing and leveraging ones own, and the reporting team’s inherent Traits is critical, when setting up teams for success. Creating DOSE heavy activities brings about a happy pollination of traits, fosters camaraderie and eventually friction free work flows. Work related Wellness leads to Self reflection and Self awareness and eventually to mindfulness  in work and life. Mindfulness leads to knowledge and calm learning journeys often start here.

Drag

Drag: aka Limiting Beliefs / Challenges (Behavior – Reframing; Mindset – Resilience)

Behavior: Reframing involves a professional to identify and challenge their limiting / negative beliefs, and replacing them with positive, empowering thoughts.

Mindset: A resilient mindset enables us to bounce back from setbacks and view challenges as opportunities for growth rather than insurmountable obstacles.

A leader will carry their team with courage, while in the process helping them overcome Limiting Beliefs. By Design, a leader puts team members in high octane learning environments that let the 2.0 emerge with ease. Use these opportunities to reward, thereby helping the professional reframe challenges and seek more of them.
